As a digital transformation agency, it’s impossible to not admire the fantastic work Northcoders do in training new developers and helping to place them into new roles across multiple different sectors.
So we were thrilled to be asked to work as their digital partner for their recent website refresh!
The company has evolved through a period of rapid growth and has built up a strong reputation in the process. However, the online identity hadn’t quite caught up with the growth and so the existing website didn’t represent who they currently were. It was time for an overhaul.
Firstly, we undertook a comprehensive discovery process to better understand the objectives, the audience and their needs, and the competition. We also audited the current site’s content to identify current, out of date and unnecessary content to build a concise sitemap that would best serve users.
Following an update to the master brand by Glorious, we then focused on revamping the User Experience as a top priority. The existing site was disjointed and used now-dated technology which misrepresented the technology-focused nature of their brand.
The result was a brand new site which focused on a fresh, updated design style to engage users and enhance the overall experience. New user journeys were carefully crafted to identify opportunities for better content, and ways to encourage better flows into the products and services pages for all audience types.
We also made sure that the site was optimised for lead generation – business return is crucial, after all. Enquiry and call back forms were subtly integrated into all relevant pages, allowing for a seamless experience all the way from education to conversion. When it came to the build, we worked alongside Breaks Agency, using Gatsby.JS and headless CMS Prismic so content management can be managed internally.
Our experience with Parallax has been excellent. Our vision for the build of the site was very specific, using some lesser-known technologies, but Parallax were able to accommodate this remarkably easily and put together a brilliant team of people who understood every nuance of the project, from information architecture to SEO.
