Introducing the new Parallax Office: The Elbow Rooms

Parallax

Our rate of steady growth here at Parallax is something we’re extremely proud of. From humble beginnings as a group of four friends, to hiring our 30th member of staff last year - our team has gone from strength to strength. Having outgrown our beloved space at The Old Brewery on The Calls, we’re delighted to unveil our brand new office at The Elbow Rooms.Once home to pool tables, music and revelry, The Elbow Room was a favourite after-work and late-night spot for many Leeds residents. Today, it has been transformed into a stunning suite of all-new offices, in a part of the city renowned for being a digital workspace hub. Just 5 minutes walk from Leeds train station and a stone’s throw from the strongly-rumoured location of Channel 4's new northern headquarters, we’re incredibly excited for what this area has to offer. On the top floor of what is now known collectively as ‘The Elbow Rooms’, our new office sits above Revolution de Cuba at the junction of Call Lane and Lower Briggate. Fitted out to our own custom specifications, we've designed a purpose-built space all around collaborative work, hosting client meetings and the comfort of our employees, not to mention giving ourselves plenty of room for future team growth. We believe that a workspace has a great effect on the productivity and happiness of staff, so we’ve gone to every effort to ensure our new office has everything a team could want. The open plan nature of the office allows for creativity, while the wall of windows allow for natural light and fresh air. We've peppered the space with plants to add a touch of greenery and breathe life into the space. With the nature of our work reliant on connectivity, we’ve installed Gigabit Fibre throughout the office - we couldn't deliver all the "websites, apps, branding, marketing and software":https://parall.ax/work we're known for without it! Our office now has two main meeting rooms, both able to comfortably seat eight people, as well as two booths for shorter, impromptu meetings, collaborations and private calls. We've installed a brand new meeting room management system called Joan, which helps us avoid meeting clashes and keep schedules on time. We also have a brand new ‘lab’ area to help drive our innovation projects, which also doubles up as a collaboration area and game zone - our new projector and screen is perfect for watching conferences, streaming events or playing games. (Yes, "we still love FIFA and Mario Kart).
