Technical Director and co-founder of Parallax James Hall has been named in the British Interactive Media Association’s list of influential industry leaders, officially entering the BIMA 100 class of 2019.Recognised by BIMA for his work with emerging technologies, James has recently spent his time building an all-encompassing Internet-of-Things platform for intelligent street-lighting. And as one of our leading developers, he was also honoured for his interactive media work, which includes a number of experiential projects for a major high street shoe brand that made creative use of in-store touch-screens and photo printers. On the 8th May, James attended the prestigious celebration in London at the stunning OXO Tower with the other 99 talented digital and media pioneers, alongside fresh inductees to the BIMA Hall of Fame. It was a really great event and I’m honoured to be included in the BIMA 100. There were some amazing talks - particularly the one from Head of ITV Dame Carolyn McCall - along with a fantastically diverse line-up and a well-balanced representation of gender, which is refreshing to see in digital! As a not-for-profit industry body representing the interactive media and digital content sector, BIMA exists to drive excellence and innovation in the UK. In a country with so many exciting digital pioneers, entrepreneurs and change-makers, we're especially proud of James for receiving recognition in the Tech Trailblazer category. No stranger to exclusive clubs, James is also an accredited AWS Community Hero - one of just 13 expert developers holding the title in Europe and the Middle East for their outstanding knowledge of Amazon Web Services.
