We’re proud to announce the successful website launch for Leeds Golf Centre, a classic golfing club based in rural north Leeds offering two beautiful courses, a floodlit driving range, pro shop and a clubhouse with its own bar and grill.
As part of our ongoing relationship with the Parklane Group – best known for their residential lettings businesses Parklane Properties, Roomzzz, IconInc and RentInc – we were asked to reimagine their outdated, non-mobile-friendly website and update it to better represent the establishment. With old content, the existing website no longer reflected all the exciting new features they offered, presenting users with a somewhat disjointed experience.
And so, after they refreshed their brand identity, we carried out extensive research to identify the various personas visiting the website, then set about creating content relevant to a wide range of users. We transposed the updated brand identity onto a modern and responsive website with a sleek new design, and built it on Expose, our very own CMS. Using Expose allows the client to easily manage their own content going forward, not to mention dramatically improving page load times.
Leeds Golf Centre positions itself as the “Home of Modern Golf” – it now has a website to reflect that standing. We really wanted to push and extend on the current brand guidelines to present something that fitted in with their style, but also enhanced their visual identity in the digital realm. We were keen to add a few extra flourishes too, such as video footage that sits inside the argyle patterning – rather than a standard rectangular frame – and fades in section by section as the homepage loads.
The new website now offers a seamless way to interact with all the latest content, allowing users to learn more about all the newest attractions, including an indoor golf simulator, putt and balance lab, private golf lessons, competitions and – the latest craze to sweep the game – footgolf.
Since launch, the website has already seen a 26% increase in page views and a 37% bounce rate improvement. As part of our ongoing process, we’ve deployed Tag Manager to track events, giving Leeds Golf Centre a whole new level of user insight. And with a huge uplift in conversions, plenty of golf lovers really are experiencing “a breath of fresh air.”
